Connecting
- After your server starts, open Minecraft Bedrock
- Click "Play"
- Click the "Servers" tab
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Add Server"
- Enter a Server Name (can be anything)
- Enter
[your server host]
for the "Server Address"
- Enter
[your server port]
for the "Port"
- Click "Play"
- Done!
Saves
Host Factor will automatically back up your Minecraft Bedrock saves every ~10 minutes. You can download/upload saves
whenever you want with no limit on size.
Uploading a save
- Click on your server in Host Factor
- In the sidebar that appears, click the "App Settings" button
- Under the "Select a save file" section under "Disk", click the upload button.
- Locate your save file. Depending on your OS your saves files could be located in different folders. Typically, they
can be found in:
Windows:
Enter %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds
into the address bar in File Explorer\
- Zip the folder containing your world (right-click the folder -> "Send to" -> "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- Select the "*.zip" file
- Click the "Confirm" button in Host Factor.
Downloading a save
Since we back up all of your save files, you can access them at any time in Host Factor:
- Click on your server in Host Factor
- In the sidebar that appears, click the "Files" button
- Navigate to the "saves" directory
- Select your save and click the "Download" button.
